About Us

Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church is in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, at 2039 Freeport Road in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. This rural church began in 1820 with eight members. The first church structure was built in 1861. As you can imagine through the years much reconstruction and renovations and have taken place into the structure that stands today.

Our congregation in numbers are approximately 100-120 on average for our Sunday morning worship service. Our ministries include Sunday School for adults and children, Bible Study for adults, Men’s and Women’s Fellowship, Pioneer Club for school age children and Christian Youth in Action for the teens. We also have other activities such as choir and missions group outreaches. Our Strawberry, Peach and Fall festivals are all the rave in Armstrong County because of our homemade ice cream and our tasty downhome food and other desserts. We are a welcoming active church wanting to reach out into our community and around the world to share Christ’s love and forgiveness. We are also actively involved in hosting blood drives for the American Red Cross throughout the year.

The messages you will hear from the pulpit will be a message of Christ’s love and forgiveness and the full gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise. Our desire is for those seeking a new direction in their life’s journey to find hope, love, discipleship, and a new beginning in Jesus here at Center Hill.

Our music style is a combination of traditional hymns and some contemporary choruses as well. We welcome informal to casual dress.

We have recently left the church of the Brethren due to the denomination comprising  God’s word. If you would like to have information about the Covenant Brethren Church and its emerging ministry go to the link below.
