The doctrine of grace is that God treats us better than we deserve to be treated.
He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. (Psalm 103:10)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8)
God's grace is extended to us not only in salvation — the fact that He lets us into heaven even though we are sinners —
but it also is extended to us in everyday life.
